CANCELLATION
NATURE AND SCOPE OF COVER
We will refund any cancellation fees charged by the holiday organiser in accordance with their Terms and Conditions
of Sale, providing notification is given BEFORE THE INSURED PARTY’S ARRIVAL DATE at the holiday destination and
when said cancellation is the result of one of the following events and occurs subsequently to the insurance cover
subscription:
· Death, serious personal accident or serious illness suffered by the insured party, their spouse or commonlaw
partner, their ascendants or descendants (up to second degree), step-father(s), step-mother(s),
brother(s), sister(s), step-brother(s), step-sister(s), son-in-law(s), daughter-in-law(s), and/or any other
person that usually lives with the insured party
· Death of the insured party’s uncle(s), aunt(s), nephew(s) and/or niece(s)
Cancellation for any person who was supposed to accompany the insured party (maximum eight people) on the trip,
who subscribed at the same time and is covered by the present contract, when the cancellation is due to any of the
causes stated above. Nevertheless, if the insured party wishes to go ahead with the trip without said person, any
extra charges paid for a single hotel room or cabin will only be covered if The Company agrees to refund the
cancellation in question.
If the insured party would prefer to have another person replace them instead of cancelling their trip due to the
reasons shown above, The Company will cover any fees charged by the supplier (tour operator, airline, etc.) for
changing the passenger name. However, these fees must not exceed the cancellation fees applicable on the date the
claim is made.
We also cover any early termination fees for the trip, under the same conditions as above. If the insured party is
forced to cut short their stay, we will provide a proportional refund for any unused services (excluding transport).
OPTIONAL COVER FOR INCIDENTS WHILE TRAVELLING
NATURE AND SCOPE OF COVER
On trips covered by the present insurance policy, we guarantee the insured party’s luggage worldwide, excluding in
their primary or secondary residence, up to the amount stated in the benefits table, against:
· theft
· total or partial destruction, including damage caused by forces of nature
· loss (only during transport by an authorised shipping company)
“Luggage” means travel bags, suitcases and/or personal items excluding any clothing worn by the insured party.
Valuable objects (stated below) are also covered by the insurance, up to the amount stated in the benefits table and
with the following conditions:
· jewellery, precious metal objects, pearls, hard stones and wristwatches are covered against theft alone and
only when they have been placed in the hotel safe or are being worn by the insured party
· photographic, cinematographic, radio and audio-visual recording or reproduction equipment (excluding
mobile telephones), as well as any accessories or objects other than clothing with a unit value of more than
€500, are covered against theft alone and only when they are being carried or used by the insured party
Any objects acquired during the trip or stay are included in the insurance cover, up to the amount stated in the
benefits table.
The Company will advance funds to the insured party in the event of the loss or theft of payment methods:
· Advance of funds in the event of the loss or theft of payment methods
During their trip abroad, if the insured party requires an advance of funds following the loss or theft of their
payment methods, The Company may agree to advance funds up to the amount shown in the benefits table and in
exchange for a deposit cheque written out for the same amount as the advance. The insured party must sign a
document in recognition of this debt while at their holiday destination. The advance must be paid back within a
month of the date shown on The Company’s reimbursement request.
OPTIONAL COVER FOR LACK OF SNOW
NATURE AND SCOPE OF COVER
In addition to the main guarantees stated in the present Terms and Conditions, The Company guarantees, up to
the amounts shown in the benefits table below, the refund of any cancellation fees charged by the trip organiser as
part of their Terms and Conditions of Sale, providing notification is given before the start date of the trip and when
said cancellation is a result of the closure of the ski area and occurs subsequently to the insurance cover
subscription.
The partial or total closure of the ski area must be due to a lack of snow cover or excess snowfall on the ski area.
This guarantee will only be taken into consideration alongside a snow report published by a recognised
organisation about the resort in question, or the closest neighbouring resort if there is no official snow report for
the resort concerned.
The ski resort will be deemed to have a lack of snow cover if, in the 48 hours preceding or following the start date of
the lift pass, more than 2/3 of the ski area covered by the purchased lift pass is closed according to the
aforementioned snow report or if the liaisons (via ski lifts or slopes) between the different resorts of the ski area are
closed for more than 48 consecutive hours while the lift pass is valid.
This guarantee can only be applied if the resort is located at an altitude of 1,500 metres or above and only
between the official opening and closing dates of the ski area, including the pre-opening periods.
If the insured party would prefer to have another person replace them instead of cancelling their trip due to the
reasons stated in the contract, The Company will cover any fees charged by the supplier (tour operator, airline, etc.)

N.B. The original Terms and Conditions are written in French. In the event of any discrepancy between the original
French text and this English translation, the French text shall be used to resolve any doubts arising in respect of
interpretation and/or application.
